In our own research, we have found that the information available on the Philippines typhoons and the resulting Philippines flooding is sketchy at best.  We found that staying up to date on what was happening proved to be “cumbersome”.  Our feeling was that if all of the information available could be concentrated in one place, potential providers of any assistance would find it easier to do so.  We therefore decided to donate this website and all of the necessary research to make this happen, to the benefit of each and every Philippines typhoon victim.

We are working hard to gather as much information as possible relevant to the Philippines typhoon disaster and the resulting Philippines flood from all over the internet as well as other sources directly so that we can provide internet users one convenient location to help them stay up to date on what’s happening. Our site includes all of the latest video and pictures, as well as articles and blog posts from actual victims, observers, other people in the Philippines and abroad whose families are Philippines typhoon and/or Philippines flood victims, and so much more!

This website is dedicated to the victims of the Philippines typhoon and Philippines flood, and to the people world-wide who are willing to offer support if only they knew how to do so in such a way that they could be sure 100% of their donation went directly to the victims.

The Philippines Typhoon & Flooding

The Facts

The news stations around the world are vastly understating what’s happening in the Philippines as it relates to the Philippines typhoon problem.  People can  speculate as to why that’s the case, (and they certainly are doing so), but while they are doing so, this critical problem continues, and the victims of the typhoons and flooding continue to suffer and die in utter dispair.

More than 2,000,000 Now Homeless in Philippines Typhoon Aftermath: the Philippines Flood

To be clear, relief efforts are, in fact, under way, but the current efforts are simply nowhere near enough!  More than 300 people were dead in the first 24 hours of Typhoon Ondoy, and that number has grown drastically as the Philippines has been continually bombarded with typhoon after typhoon!  More than 2 million have lost everything except for the very clothes they were wearing when Typhoon Ondoy (known internationally as “Typhoon Ketsana“) hit the Philippines with all its fury.  Much of Manila remains under as much as 5 feet of water in some areas.  There were dead bodies floating around in the flood waters for days before someone finally picked them up, and many have still not been identified to date!  Furthermore, companies from all over the Philippines, particularly in the Metro Manila area, report that their internal operations have been seriously handicapped as a result of the Philippines flood, because they have employees who are simply missing.  No one knows where they are, or if they are dead or alive.  At this point, most are assumed dead.

As bad as all of this sounds, the truth is that no one really knows the real numbers on any of this because there are so many different sources all reporting different numbers, and most of the organizations doing so have their own agenda.  For some agencies, it’s in their own best interest to exagerate the numbers, because they are wanting donations, so they are willing to do so.  For other agencies, the fact that this problem is so bad is frankly an embarrassment to them, so everyone knows they will be inclined to under-estimate the numbers as well as the need for assistance.  Either way, no one in the Philippines is really capable of coming up with accurate numbers anyway, because everything is in such disarray, and so many are simply “missing”.
